Andy Serkis An immensely talented character actor who is thus far best known for his performances as the CGI characters Gollum in "Lord of the Rings" and Kong in the the 2005 version of "King Kong" (both with director Peter Jackson). In both films, he provided the voice and movements for the CGI characters. His performances were so well-received that a debate was sparked in the film community on the legitmacy of CGI-assisted acting, as some felt that Sekis should have been nominated for an Academy-Award but thought he was not, for the mistaken reason that he did not appear in the film (which he did).
