Anton Yelchin

The young and often underrated Russian-born American actor is best remembered for his roles in the TV series "Huff", and the movies "House of D" and "Alpha Dog". Prior to those, he starred in the films, "Hearts in Atlantis", "Along Came A Spider" and "Delivering Milo" as well as other acclaimed features such as Steven Spielberg's milestone TV project "Taken".
He won a Young Artist award for Best Performance in a Feature Film - Leading Young Actor at the 2002 Young Artist Awards for his performance as Bobby Garfield in "Hearts of Atlantis". His other performances have also garnered similar critical acclaim, particularly that of "Alpha Dog". That same year in 2007, he also starred alongside Diane Lane and Donald Sutherland in "Fierce People" which had a limited release. His upcoming films include, Charlie Bartlett (scheduled to be released on February 22, 2008), in which he plays the title role of a wealthy teenager in a public high school opposite actors Robert Downey Jr., Hope Davis and Kat Dennings, "Finding t.A.T.u.", which was filmed in Moscow during the summer of 2007, "Middle of Nowhere", opposite Susan Sarandon and Justin Chatwin, and the eleventh "Star Trek" film, in which he will portray Pavel Chekov. Yelchin is the son of legendary figure skaters Irina Korina and Viktor Yelchin, who came to the United States as refugees from political and religious oppression. In addition to acting, he also studies film at the University of Southern California. Asides from film, he enjoys playing the guitar, saying that it gives him "a lot of fulfillment", and is a fan of acoustic blues music. He began acting at the age of nine, in the independent film "A Man is Mostly Water".
