Brenda Strong

Strong is something of a television legend. She may be best known for her roles as Elaine's nemesis Sue Ellen on mega-hit sitcom "Seinfled" and that of the the narrator Mary Alice Young on "Desperate Housewives", but her career actually goes back a long way. Her first break after college was a spot in Billy Crystal’s 1984 music video "You Look Marvelous".
Her first television appearances began in 1985 with brief stints on "St. Elsewhere", "MacGyver", and "Cheers". She also made guest appearances on "Matlock", "Murphy Brown", "Herman's Head", "Star Trek: The Next Generation", "Blossom", as well as a recurring role on the cult favorite "Twin Peaks". It was in mid90s though, and afterwards that she truly flourished taking on prominent recurring, guest-starring and starring roles in dozens of series including: "3rd Rock From the Sun", "Party of Five", "ER", "Picket Fences", "Silk Stalkings" "Dawson's Creek", "Sports Night", "7th Heaven", "Gilmore Girls", "Everwood", "Ally McBeal", "Nip/Tuck", "CSI", "Malcolm in the Middle", "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and the short-lived "The Lyon’s Den". An more-than-impressive resume to say the least. Add to that, her appearances in such movies as "Spaceballs", "The Deep End of the Ocean", "Red Dragon" and "Starship Troopes" and we've established she's quite an actress to be reckoned with.
Strong married Tom Henri in July 1989 and they have a child together, Zak Henri. Interestingly enough, she's a certified yoga instructor and fertility expert, and has taught at UCLA'a Mind/Body Institute. She is currently working on her first book about yoga and the woman's journey.
