Graham Norton

The Irish actor, comedian and television presenter achieved fame as a broadcaster on Britain's Channel 4 during which he hosted his own chat shows including "So Graham Norton" and "V Graham Norton". Prior to that, he had earned success on Channel 5, by first winning an award for his performance as the stand-in host of the late-night talk show usually presented by Jack Docherty, and then following that with hosting a comic quiz show called "Bring Me The Head Of Light Entertainment", which wasn't well received as a programme but did further enhance Norton's individual reputation.
As a performer who is not only openly gay, but also naturally camp and flamboyant, Norton's act as a fully honed cheeky, innuendo-laden joker made quite the charismatic impact that catapulted him to success in his career. That and his role as Father Noel Furlong in the critically acclaimed Irish television series "Father Ted" which proved to be an instant hit among audiences despite Norton's appearance in only three episodes. In addition to being one of the first to introduce the internet on public television in the late nineteens, he interviewed loads of celebrities including: Cher, Dido, Britney Spears, Elton John, Marilyn Manson, Mariah Carey, Pete Burns, Gabriel Byrne, Orlando Bloom, Elijah Wood and Diana Ross. He has since moved from Channel 4 and done much work for the BBC, with various shows for BBC One and BBC Two, and work on BBC Radio 2. These include "Strictly Dance Fever" and "Graham Norton's Bigger Picture", as well as reading stories some nights on the BBC children's channel CBeebies as part of Bedtime Hour.
