Gunnar Hansen The Icelandic-American actor is perhaps best known for playing Leatherface in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Hansen worked as a computer operator and bar bouncer before deciding to get into acting. Just after finishing graduate school in 1973, he heard that "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" was being filmed in Austin and decided to try out.
