John Turturro A highly prolific actor whose work and many collaborations with such esteemed directors as the Coen brothers and Spike Lee, have earned him a reputation as one of the best character actors in Hollywood. He has starred in such films as "Barton Fink", "To Live and Die in L.A.", "The Color of Money", "He Got Game", "Summer of Sam", "Five Corners", "Men of Respect", "Quiz Show", "Monday Night Mayhem", "Miller's Crossing", "The Bronx is Burning", "O Brother Where Art Thou?", "Brain Donors" and most recently "The Good Shepherd" and "Transformers".He's also stepped onto the other side of the camera, producing and directing, as well as acting, in the film "Illuminata", which also starred his wife Katherine Borowitz. He is also known for his frequent appearances on the series "Mon k" as the title character's eccentric brother. For this role, he won an Emmy Award. He has also been nominated and won numerous other awards from many film organizations including the Screen Actors Guild, Cannes Film Festival and the Golden Globes. However, he has shockingly, and some would unjustly, never been nominated for an Academy Award. Tutorro has two children, Amedeo and Diego Turturro.
