Lara Flynn Boyle Lara Flynn Boyle has had a quite prosperous career in Hollywood thus far. She is perhaps best known for starring in such films as: "Men in Black II", "Threesome" and "Red Rock West". Her main success however has always come courtesy of the small screen. She initially gained widespread fame for having starred as Donna Howard on David Lynch's acclaimed classic series "Twin Peaks".In 1997, Boyle auditioned for the title role in David E. Kelley's "Ally McBeal". Although she lost out to Calista Flockhart, Boyle impressed him enough to create the role of Assistant District Attorney Helen Gamble in his other 1997 series, "The Practice", specifically for her. Needless to say, the show was a success and Boyle once again garnered critical acclaim on her part as well as Emmy award nomination. She starred on the show until 2003, when - in a dramatic attempt to revamp the show and cut costs - she was unceremoniously dismissed along with most of the other main cast. She did eventually star on an episode of Ally McBeal as her cross over character in "The Practice". More recently, she's had recurring role stints in "Huff" and "Las Vegas". Boyle has equally fascinated people in her personal life, particularly with respect to her love life, having dated such actors as Jack Nicholson, Richard Dean Anderson, Kyle MacLachlan, David Spade, and Eric Dane. She has been married twice. Her first husband was John Patrick Dee III, whom she married on 11 August 1996 and divorced two years later. Her second and current husband is Donald Ray Thomas II, a real-estate investor, whom she married on December 18, 2006 in San Antonio, Texas. Back to Lara Flynn Boyles Index |
