Nicholas Brendon

Brendon is best known for his role as Xander Harris on the hit television show "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". While his character on the show was initially set as a comic sidekick to series' female heroines, Brendon's character evolved into a lot more than that and became a principal character on the show in later seasons.
Following the series demise, he starred in another series, the sitcom "Kitchen Confidential", based on the best-selling book by chef/author Anthony Bourdain. The sitcom was subsequently canceled as a result of poor ratings. In 2006, he played Huntsboy #89 for season 2 of the animated series American Dragon: Jake Long. That series ended on September 1, 2007. Also in 2006, he co-starred in the play "Lobster Alice" with Noah Wyle in Los Angeles, as well as reuniting with his former Buffy on-screen sweetheart, Charisma Carpenter, in the ABC Family TV movie "Relative Chaos". More recently, in October 2007, October 2007, he mentioned that he would be joining the cast of the CBS crime drama Criminal Minds as Penelope Garcia's love interest. Brendon married actress Tressa DiFiglia in 2001. As of 2007, however, they've been divorced. On a side-note, he has played a major part in the Stuttering Foundation of America. He was the first person to serve the role of honorary chairperson of the Stuttering Foundation of America's Stuttering Awareness Week for three consecutive years, from 2000 to 2003.
