Paul Walker

Despite criticisms of wooden acting, anyone who has seen Paul Walker's last film "Running Scared", will testify that there is more to the former fashion model than just eye-candy. Paul Walker started his career on the small screen with several commercials and appearances in low-budget films such as "Monster in the Closet" and "Tammy and the T-Rex", in addition to a brief role in the popular soap opera "The Young and the Restless".
It was in 1998 however, that his career took a major attention-grabbing turn, starring, although briefly, in the movies "Meet the Deedles" and the critically acclaimed "Pleasntville". Walker then took on roles in the hit teen flicks "She's All that" and "Varsity Blues", staedily building his carrer and making a name for himself. And in 2001, his major star break came with the smash hit film, "The Fast and the Furious" starring opposite Vin Diesl catapulting both him and his co-star to fame. Walker has since enjoyed success churning out positively-received movies such as: "Joy Ride", "Into the Blue", the hit sequel "2 Fast, 2 Furious", the Disney flick "Eight Below", and the aforementioned ground-breaking film "Running Scared". The film's director, Wayne Kramer, has commented that the film's character is closer to Walker's own personality than any of his previous roles. Walker also had a breif role in Clint Eastwood's "Flag of Our Fathers". Off-screen Walker has a daughter, Meadow Rain, born November 4th 1998, from a former girlfriend (Rebecca) who lives with her mother in Hawaii- Walker resides in Santa Barbara and Huntington Beach, California. It is rumored, though yet un-confirmed, that Walker might take on the role of Marvel's Captain America in the movie adaptation of the succesful comic.
