Quentin Tarantino Quentin Tarantino made the leap from video-store clerk to the coolest movie director- around via the Sundance success of his indie film "Reservoir Dogs". He followed that with the ever-popular, and arguably the "coolest" movie ever made: "Pulp Fiction". Despite long periods of absences during the 90s and some, he was still able to churn out films like "Jackie Brown", and the ever-successful "Kill Bill" and "Death Proof".Tarantino is a rarity, a film director who is far more than his occupation suggests, that it would be perhaps more apt to describe him as Rock star given his insane popularity is not simply restricted to that of the film community alone but the pop-culture medium as whole, as his films have become iconic staples in the culture.
