Shia LaBeouf

Shia Labeouf has proven himself to be the "it" boy of 2007, thanks to the success of "Disturbia", "Transformers", and "Surf's Up". Often referred to as a young Woody Allen by critics, and a young Tom Hanks by none other than Steven Spielberg, the talented young star first started out as a stand-up comedian performing in local joints at the age of 10, before moving on to star as the lead in the Disney series "Even Stevens"- a role for which he won a Daytime Emmy.
His first major break into celluloid however, came with a starring role in the box-office success "Holes". Soon afterwards, he was featured in small parts in the movies: "I, Robot" opposite Will Smith; and the action-horror "Constantine" opposite Rachel Weisz and Keanu Reeves. He also acted in the ensemble gritty drama "Bobby", in an effort to mature onscreen and shed his now accustomed Disney image. It was with "Disturbia" however, that Labeouf would truly break out, dazzling viewers and holding the fort in a character driven story for which he was the main character. And with the mega-success of "Transformers" and moderate earnings of "Surf's Up", Labeouf has pretty much established himself as "the star of tomorrow". Next up is the eagerly awaited "Indiana Jones 4" for which he will play the son to Harrison Ford's iconic adventurer. Offscreen LaBeouf is known to take his craft pretty seriously and as such has made "a calculated effort to stay away from the party scene" stating that "if the industry takes you lightly because you're always partying, then they will take your work lightly as well" He is currently single and lives in California.
