Terrence Howard One of the most terrific breakout actors of recent times, Howard is best remembered for his roles in such films as "Ray", "Lackawanna Blues", "Crash", "Four Brothers", "Get Rich or Die Tryin", "Idlewild" and "Hustle and Flow" for which he was nominated for an Academy and Golden Globe Award among a sleuth of other accolades.But while his fame is arguably recent, it might surprise some people to know that Howard has been in the biz for a while,his breakout role being 1995's "Mr. Holland's Opus". He also starred in the films "The Best Man" and co-starred as "Greg Sparks" in the late-1990s television series "Sparks", as well as having appeared in music videos for Ashanti and Mary J. Blige in "Foolish" and "Be Witout You" respectively. But it was mainly "Hustle and Flow" that shot Howard to the big time. Since then, Howard has appeared has appeared in a number of films including the above-mentioned as well as more recent ones such as, "The Brave One" and "August Rush". He is also slated to appear in the upcoming Marvel adaptation of "Iron Man" (2008) as Jim Rhodes. He is also set to make his Broadway debut as Brick in an all-African-American production of Tennessee Williams's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof", directed by Debbie Allen. He is also working on a self-described "urban country" album o be released sometime soon. Howard was married to Lori McCommas for 14 years. The couple has three children: two daughters (Aubrey and Heaven) and a son (Hunter). In 2003 however, the couple divorced but were later remarried in 2005, and again separated shortly afterwards with Howard reportedly "chasing after" her since. In addition to being a self-taught guitarist and pianist, he has also described physics as his "main love" and has expressed a desire to complete his education and obtain a doctorate.
