Usher Raymond The multi-talented and charismatic singer, actor, dancer and co-owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers made his debut in 1994 with the self-titled debut album "Usher" which opened to moderately low success. Said success would come with his next two albums "My Way" and "8701"; the latter particularly winning usher mad acclaim and popularity, and he would go on to become only the third artist to ever win two consecutive Grammies in the ‘Best Male R&B Vocal Performance' category.Usher's career peaked in 2004-2005 with the release of "Confessions". The album which featured such hit songs as "Yeah!" "Burn", Caught Up" and "My boo" would go on to be certified Diamond in the U.S. and top world charts for several weeks, eventually selling more than 15 million copies all over the globe. While his musical talents are not to be disputed, his acting has generally been negatively reviewed as his debut film "In the Mix" testified. Back to Usher Raymonds Index |
